A quick look at the new features of March release of Microsoft Intune

BLOG-1000070Like mentioned earlier this week, the march update of Microsoft Intune is as we speak applied to the service. One of my tenants is already updated so have we can have a quick look at the updated parts of the Microsoft Intune console.

The first thing I noticed is that the current version of Microsoft Intune is 5.0.5038.0. I will try to keep track at the versions at this page.

The first thing we can see is that the Apps page has been updated to the new (touch enabled) look and feel of Microsoft Intune.

Next new feature we are able to find in the Admin node. If we look under Mobile Device Management we see the option to configure Enrollment Rules. This option allows us to select the maximum number of devices a user can enroll. This can be set from one to five per user.

For iOS devices we are now able to streamline the enrollment of iOS devices bought from Apple directly or a reseller with the Device Enrollment Program.

The last thing I quickly want to show is the ability to upload and deploy n APPX file to Windows Phone 8.1.
